Course Description
This course explores the theme of environmental sustainability in the
field of architecture, taking an exclusive journey within international
architecture firms Mario Cucinella Architects. World-famous
architect Mario Cucinella reveal their design approach through
an evocative narrative, in an approach that shows that caring for the
environment and paying attention to energy saving are an essential choice
shared by the entire international community. Closely examining the main
projects they have built and the jobs they’re working on right now for the
future, this course provides valuable examples and useful analysis tools that
these firms have developed during their successful professional activity.
Insights and inspiration on environmental sustainability are shared from
decades of experience at the highest levels in the architectural field,
offering a forum for discussion and a significant study opportunity for all
architects keen to enhance their ability to assess the environmental impact of
their own projects.
Learning Objectives
These videos were created to provide new
operational tools and foster greater knowledge about the architectural design
process via:
- International architects’ operational experiences
- Cross-references to international projects that were the first to address and solve sustainable design-related problems
- Design strategies and methods for situating new buildings within their context while having a minimal environmental impact
- Knowledge about the materials and technical expedients used in the various case studies selected
Requirements
Users
can access the course using any recent web browser. Data is stored in a database for subsequent use (presence checks, user
data, comprehension questions). To monitor
course participants, the following will be performed:
- User
login identification using a user ID and password, sent to participants after
registration
- Monitoring
the total connection time of each user and the percentage of the videos viewed using
the SCORM system
- Completion of final assessment questionnaire, with question sets of a suitable level to evaluate learning and listening comprehension of the topics covered, with a minimum passing grade of 70%
